I was recently diagnosed with advanced Multiple Sclerosis. I was a truck driver for 26 years and the last five years became very difficult. I eventually couldn't even get into the truck. I didn't know what was wrong with me and I was eventually fired from my last two jobs. I was really scared because I am single and have no family to help me. No doctors would listen to me without yelling at me, telling me there was nothing wrong with me. Finally in June, a lady at a garage sale recognized my symptoms (I could hardly walk). I was diagnosed by a neurologist within two weeks. I was approved for Social Security Disability within three months. The problem is that my disability doesn't even cover the mortgage. I had to stop the payments on my house. When it is time to leave, I have no where to go and my condition is so bad, I cannot work. I love my little 900 sq. ft. house that is in the country. It's one level so that when I have to have the wheelchair full time, it will be easy to put a ramp in. I pray for someone to step in and help me in this situation. Elane Keenan - P.O.
